When you go into the room you need to go right, right, up, up, left while always looking in the same direction. Then you need to turn around and look at the pillar to your left.
This is the pillar where the starting circle will appear. You need to make sure that the water is at the highest level. Now use the panel behind you to lower the water level. Click on the starting circle as soon as it appears on the pillar and then follow the line.
